Puppies

New puppy buyers recommends to contact the Club's puppy intermediary before you buy a puppy. The puppy intermediary can inform about born puppies, upcoming litters of the club's breed.
Litters advertised through NSBK is approved by the breed council according to the code of ethics (only in Norwegian) for NSBK's breeders and their stock.
We emphasize that it's the breeder who is responsible for their own breeding and sale of puppies. Puppies approved and listed on the website are sold by breeders who have commited themselves to follow the club's demand about health and results, and by following the Norwegian Kennel Club's ethical guidelines for breeding. And all puppies are to be sold with a Norwegian Kennel Club pedigree. For your information, the breeder might have other litters at the same time that is not approved by the breeding council.

The breeders routines for reporting litters to the puppy list

Form "Melding om parring/Valpekull" in word and pdf can be found under "Breeding Council" and "your" breed

The new routines are as follows:
1.	The breeder sends information about his / hers planned litter to the breed representative,
	who after having approved the combination, forwards the message to the puppy intermediate and web responsible. The web responsible makes sure the litter is listed on the homepage, and that the editor has an updated puppy list before a new magazine.
2.	WHEN THE PUPPIES ARE BORN
	The breeder notifies the breed representative and the puppy intermediate about the number of puppies of each sex. The breeder also notifies if there are no puppies born, so that the litter can be removed from the puppy list. The breed representative notifies the web responsible who makes sure the puppy list is updated. Litters can be removed from the homepage if the breed representative haven't received any messages from the breeder in a reasonable time after the puppies were expected.
3.	WHEN THE PUPPIES ARE SOLD
	The breeder notities to the puppy intermediate when all puppies are sold. The breeder can also contact the web responsible and breed representative via e-mail or telephone when all puppies are sold, so that the litter can be removed from the puppy list.
If the puppy intermediate or web responsible doesn't receive any information about the litter's "status" from the breeder, the litter will automatically be removed when the puppies are 10 weeks old.
